ASB and the Crime and Policing Act 2026

This session will provide an overview of changes being introduced by way of the Crime and Policing Bill within the context of local authority regulation and management of anti-social behaviour. Key changes include Increase of FPN for CPN and PSPO to £500, introduction of Respect Orders, extension of closure orders to RSL’s (and extension of closure notice period to 72 hours), offence of facilitating begging by others, removal of prior warning requirement for nuisance vehicle seizure and a new offence of cuckooing.
