Internet Based Evidence Gathering (OSINT)

This training is aimed at improving officers’ knowledge of, and skills in, internet interrogation techniques. Understanding sound OSINT practice and procedures will streamline your collection efforts, saving you time and adding a tremendous amount of horsepower to your investigations. The principle here is “The basics done well”. You don’t have to be an IT expert to start ethically and legally uncovering deeper layers of information.

Training will include traceability, search engine optimisation, the basics of efficient searching, Social Networking Sites, image searching, geo and information tagging and historic data retrieval
